SEO & Local Search Performance Report
The Pepin Mansion:
15+ Number One Rankings Across New Albany and Louisville
Executive Summary
Since our work began in October 2024, The Pepin Mansion has grown its visibility across organic search, Google Maps, and AI search. The site now appears for far more searches than a year ago, calls and direction requests from the Business Profile are up by double digits, and more than fifteen target keywords sit in the number one spot on Google search or the Map pack.
The mansion is also being surfaced inside Google AI Mode and ChatGPT for wedding and bed and breakfast searches across the Louisville and New Albany area, which is where a growing share of couples and travelers now start their planning.
Every figure in this report is pulled directly from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, and Semrush. The sections below break down each area with the exact figures and the comparison windows behind them.
Organic Traffic Growth
Organic traffic is the unpaid visits the website earns from search engines. When we started in October 2024, the site was drawing an estimated 1,867 organic visits a month. As of June 2026 that figure sits at an estimated 2,405 visits a month, an increase of about 29 percent.
Every bit of this growth is organic. There has been no paid traffic propping up the numbers, so the gains reflect real improvements in how the site ranks and how often people find it. The growth has also been steady rather than a one time spike, which is the pattern you want. It means the content, technical work, and local optimization are compounding month over month instead of fading.

Google Search Visibility
These figures come from Google Search Console and compare the same three month window a year apart, March to May 2025 against March to May 2026, so the comparison is clean and seasonal effects are accounted for.
| Metric | Mar–May 2025 | Mar–May 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total clicks | 891 | 995 | +11.7% |
| Total impressions | 6,850 | 9,490 | +38.5% |
| Average position | 17 | 14.1 | Up 2.9 spots |
| Average click-through rate | 13% | 10.5% | See note |
The standout number here is impressions, up more than 38 percent. That means the site is now showing up for thousands more searches than it was a year ago. Average position also improved, moving from 17 up to 14.1, which pushes the site closer to the top of page one for its target terms.
One figure to read in context is the click through rate, which dipped from 13 percent to 10.5 percent. This is normal and not a problem. Impressions grew much faster than clicks because the site started ranking for a far wider set of searches, including broader terms where not every searcher clicks. The absolute number of clicks still went up. In short, the site is reaching more people, and the next phase is converting more of that expanded visibility into clicks.

Google Business Profile Performance
The Google Business Profile is what shows up in Google Maps and the local results when someone searches for the mansion or for a venue nearby. These actions are the ones that turn into real bookings and visits. The figures below compare January to May 2026 against the same period in 2025.
| Profile action | Total (Jan–May 2026) | Change YoY |
|---|---|---|
| Total profile interactions | 3,300 | +7.5% |
| Calls from the profile | 155 | +10.7% |
| Direction requests | 1,051 | +8.2% |
| Website clicks | 2,094 | +6.9% |
Calls grew the fastest at almost 11 percent, and over a thousand people requested directions to the property. Direction requests are a strong signal of real intent, since people generally only pull up directions when they are seriously considering a visit.

Website Engagement
Looking at the website itself in Google Analytics, total sessions over the last 90 day window grew from 4,433 to 4,794 compared with the same window a year earlier, an increase of about 8 percent. Organic search sessions grew even faster, from 2,994 to 3,325, up about 11 percent.
Organic search is now the leading source of traffic to the site, accounting for roughly 69 percent of all sessions. That is a healthy position to be in. It means the site is earning the majority of its visitors from people actively searching, rather than depending on ads or any single channel.

Keyword Ranking Wins
This is where the work shows up most clearly. The tables below compare positions from July 2025 to May 2026 for a selection of the keywords we track, across both Google search results and the Google Maps local pack. Many of these terms now hold the number one spot, often on both at once.
Weddings and Venue Searches
| Keyword | Was (Jul 2025) | Now (May 2026) | Area |

| Wedding Car For Rent | 3rd on Google | 1st on Google | Louisville |
| Rolls-Royce Rental | 3rd on Google | 2nd on Google | Louisville |
A handful of more competitive terms are still climbing rather than sitting at the top yet. Wedding Venues New Albany, for example, moved across the page and is a focus for the next stretch of work. That is the honest picture, and it is normal for the most contested local terms to take the longest.
AI Search Visibility
More and more people are planning weddings and trips by asking Google AI Mode and ChatGPT directly, instead of scrolling through a list of links. We have been optimizing the site specifically for this, and The Pepin Mansion now appears as a recommended option inside both.

What We Have Done
None of the above happens on its own. Since October 2024 our team has run a steady program of content, on-page, technical, and local SEO work, with monthly reporting throughout. The main areas have been:
- Content. Monthly blog content written and published around weddings, stays, and seasonal topics, with titles researched for real search demand.
- Service pages. New and rebuilt service pages, including all inclusive weddings, corporate events, the Rolls-Royce rental, and reception and parlor venue pages.
- On-page SEO. On-page optimization across titles, meta tags, headings, internal links, and page content.
- Technical. Technical audits and fixes, including heading structure, page speed, and Search Console issue resolution.
- Backlinks. A toxic backlink audit and disavow to protect the site's standing with Google.
- Local SEO. Google Business Profile optimization, including services, photos, and the reviews section, plus neighborhood and local pages to strengthen relevance.
- Structured data. Schema markup, including audio schema, so search engines understand the content better.
- AI search. AI and ChatGPT optimization so the mansion surfaces in AI generated answers, with monthly ranking, AI Mode, and ChatGPT visibility reports to track progress.
What Happens Next
The foundation is strong and the momentum is real. To keep building on it, the focus for the coming period is:
- Convert near misses. Push the few competitive terms that are still climbing, such as Wedding Venues New Albany, toward the top.
- Reviews. Keep growing reviews on the Business Profile, since reviews are one of the strongest factors in the Map pack and in AI recommendations.
- Click-through. Turn the expanded search visibility into more clicks by sharpening titles and page content for the broader terms now ranking.
- AI search. Widen the AI search footprint by covering more of the wedding and stay questions couples are asking.
- Upkeep. Continue the monthly content and technical upkeep that has driven the results so far.
The numbers are heading in the right direction across every channel that matters, and there is plenty of room to keep growing.
